Betty's Bio

With 37 years of experience as a full-time professional educator, Betty White brings a wealth of experience in working with children and adults.  She has served as a Science teacher, a Professional School Counselor, Special Education Counselor, Diagnostician, and Behavior Specialist.  Since retiring in 2015, Betty has worked as a trainer and educational consultant. She has been a PRN therapist in an intensive outpatient program for senior adults with anxiety and depression, contracts with school districts to provide testing and behavioral consultation, worked as a trainer and curriculum developer for the Cook Children's Hospital Healthy Children Program, and supervises both school counseling practicum students and LPC associates as they complete their requirements.  Her true passion is training other counselors and educators as to how to best advantage the people they serve.  Betty began presenting professionally in 1994.  Since then, she has presented at State Counseling Conferences at all levels as well as at numerous school districts and Education Service Centers throughout the state of Texas.  
 

Betty has many years of leadership experience, serving as committee chair, Middle-School Vice-President, President-Elect, President, and Parliamentarian for Texas School Counselor Association.  During her term as President, she helped to develop CREST-Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas, a data driven program designed to recognize schools with superlative counseling programs.  She has also served as the Chairperson for the leadership conference presented by TSCA.  Betty currently serves in a variety of leadership positions in both professional and community groups.  
 

In November of 2009, Betty was named Outstanding Multi-Level Counselor of the Year by Texas School Counselor Association.  She is a Certified School Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor(LPC), Certified Special Education Counselor, LPC Supervisor, and Licensed Continuing Education Provider for Texas LPC's.
 

Betty's presentations are engaging, entertaining, and provide loads of practical information that participants can utilize to improve their own performance, as well as helping those they serve.
